2018 Membership Appreciation Day
On June 4, 2018, more than 70 SFVBA members were on hand to celebrate the Bar’s recent annual Membership Appreciation event at The Stand in Encino.
2018 Annual Judge’s Night Dinner
On February 22, 2018, the SFVBA recognized Los Angeles Superior Court Judges Elizabeth A. Lippitt (center) and Daniel Buckley, and Bankruptcy Judge Geraldine Mund for their years of distinguished service to the community and the legal profession.
2017 Gala Installation
On October 19, 2017, the SFVBA swore-in its new president, attorney Alan Kassan, officers and Board of Trustees at its ‘Under the Stars’ Installation Gala at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
2017 Ice Cream Social
Thanks to Bar member and sponsor Nardine Insurance, Bar members were treated to a selection of Dandy Don’s sundaes and treats at the August 17, 2017, SFVBA Ice Cream Social.
Valley Bar Network
The Valley Bar Network’s monthly gatherings offer SFVBA members an opportunity to make contacts, develop business relationships and refer clients in an informal and relaxed setting.
Attorney Referral Service
The SFVBA’s non-profit Attorney Referral Service aids the public by connecting those in need of legal assistance with qualified, experienced attorneys. Established in 1948, the ARS is one of the longest running State Bar-certified legal assistance programs in California.
Lawyers in the Library
On May 5, 2017, in celebration of National Law Day, a team of volunteer attorneys from the SFVBA’s Attorney Referral Service were on hand at the L.A. Public Library in Van Nuys to offer free legal advice to the public.
2017 Member Appreciation Dinner
On June 16, the SFVBA held its annual Member Appreciation Dinner with more than 80 members participating. The event offered an informal venue to network and meet the candidates running for a spot on the 2017-2018 Board of Trustees.
2017 Annual Judges’ Night
Nearly 300 judges, commissioners, attorneys, and students were on hand for the SFVBA’s Annual Judges’ Night Awards presentation, April 4, at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City.
New Lawyers Network
On March 30, 2017, the SFVBA presented a networking social at P.S. 818 in Sherman Oaks with more than 20 newly-minted lawyers gathering to share experiences in their chosen field. The social was co-sponsored by rental property management firm, Cresa.
