The Sylmar Juvenile Courthouse, located at 16350 Filbert Street in Sylmar, will close for the remainder of the day due to its proximity to the Hurst Fire.
Due to the importance of maintaining access to justice for the residents of Los Angeles County, the Court’s other courthouses remain open for business at this time. The Court is working closely with local and state emergency officials to obtain the latest information on emerging and existing fire threats and evacuation zones. The situation remains fluid, and the Court will continue to reassess impacts on operations and additional potential closures throughout the day.
