Subscribing to a Listserv Unsubscribing to a Listserv
You must be a member of the section or group sponsoring the listserv before you can join that list. Join a Section today! All section members are automatically enrolled in its corresponding listserv. To be removed from the list visit your List Viewer page to manage your email preferences or, send an email to info@sfvba.org. In the subject line or the body of the message, enter: unsubscribe (name of listserv).

Sending a Message to a Listserv

  1. Only members of a particular listserv can send messages to that list.
  2. Communications should be brief, in good taste, and contain no attachments (unless part of SFVBA business).
  3. The following communications are not authorized to be sent by listserv: commercial advertising; notices of events unrelated to the SFVBA or the Courts; notices prepared by vendors; and political notices.
  4. Include a signature tag on all messages. Include your name, location and email address.
  5. Only send a message to the entire list when it contains information that everyone can benefit from. Using the reply button in your email application will automatically send your response to the entire list. To reply directly to a member of the list, use your email application’s forwarding option and type or copy the email address of the individual to whom you want to respond.
  6. Discuss specific information about cases with caution. Opposing counsel may be on the listserv.
