Bench Bar Updates

The Superior Court of Los Angeles County will continue the phased rollout of LACourtConnect (LACC), the Court’s free technology platform for courtroom appearances, in Criminal courtrooms. On June 30, 2025, all Criminal courtrooms at the following locations will transition to LACC:

  • Airport Courthouse
  • Central Arraignment Courthouse
  • Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center
  • Metropolitan Courthouse

Before June 30, the Court will continue to provide attorneys and litigants appearing remotely in criminal proceedings at these courthouses with a Webex link to access their remote hearing. After June 30, LACC will be the exclusive platform for remote appearances. To appear remotely, users must visit the LACC welcome page, select “Criminal” as their litigation type, and search for their hearing by case number, calendar, or name.

LACC is a simplified and modernized remote appearance platform that enables attorneys and litigants to attend court hearings virtually using Microsoft Teams without the need for advanced registration.

Key features of LACC include:

  • Same-Day Check-In: Participants may check in shortly before their scheduled hearing.
  • Platform Consistency: A streamlined experience using Microsoft Teams across all supported devices.
  • My Checked-in Hearings: Allows users to view and manage multiple hearings in one place.
  • Attorney of Record Convenience: Attorneys with multiple hearings on the same day may check in to all of them with a single login.

Once checked in, users will receive a Microsoft Teams link to join the courtroom’s virtual meeting room and will be instructed to stand by until their matter is ready to be called.

All Mental Health and Juvenile courtrooms will continue to use Webex until further notice. The Court will announce updates regarding future implementation phases as they become available.

Additional Resources:

The following resources are available to assist court users in navigating LACC.

The platform promotes convenience and choice, offering audio and video remote appearance options that eliminate the need for driving, parking, and childcare costs while saving time on commutes to courthouses. LACC 3.0 is compatible with Windows PC, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices that support Microsoft Teams.
