The new website officially replaces the Court’s legacy site at www.LACourt.org. Users who visit the old website address will automatically be redirected to www.LACourt.ca.gov. The move to a “.ca.gov” website address enhances trust, transparency and alignment with statewide digital standards used by most California government entities.
“The Court is incredibly proud of the collective effort and dedication that went into the complete aesthetic, usability, and content redesign of our website,” Executive Officer/Clerk of Court David W. Slayton said. “The achievement reflects the hard work and collaboration and commitment of everyone involved. This new website includes important user-centric improvements designed to make court information and services more easily accessible.”
Introducing www.LACourt.ca.gov

Support and Engagement
To help users transition to the new site, the Court has released a series of short explainer videos highlighting key tools and features, including:
These videos are available to view as a playlist on the Court’s YouTube channel.
The Court has also asked its justice and external partners to update any references or links pointing to the legacy site. While the web domain is changing, court email addresses will remain the same for now. Emails sent to @lacourt.ca.gov will forward automatically to @lacourt.org, with full transition details to be shared in the coming months.
The launch of www.LACourt.ca.gov marks a significant step forward in the Court’s broader effort to modernize its services and better meet the expectations of court users through thoughtful innovation. With an average of 2.1 million monthly visitors, the Court’s website is among the most visited public-facing judicial resources in the country.
“Over 1,500 pages of content were carefully reviewed and restructured,” Slayton said. “Our goal was to make the Court more accessible, intuitive and user-friendly for all, from attorneys and justice partners to members of the public. We will continue to use technology to serve our community better and to ensure that justice is readily accessible to everyone across different devices and platforms.”
