Specialty -  Namita provides fractional general counsel services for small to mid-size businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs.  A hair salon, music royalties consulting firm, multinational cosmetics brand, and a nonprofit dance production studio are or have been among her clients. She helps with various transactional business matters, including good corporate governance and regulatory compliance, drafting and negotiating contracts, and trademark registration and intellectual property licenses. Namita serves on the board of ProduceGood, a San Diego-based food recovery organization, which focuses on gleaning produce that would otherwise be headed for a landfill and redirecting it to food-insecure families throughout the county. She is also co-chair for the Racial Justice Task Force of the South Asian Bar Association of North America and co-chair for the Diverse Women’s Committee of Lawyers Club. She is also excited to be participating in the Los Angeles Incubator Consortium, which is connected with the SFVBA.

Hobbies – Namita loves (in no particular order) a long and leisurely hike, a good meal, a well-written book, a day at the beach that’s almost but not quite too hot, the joy of visiting somewhere she’s never been and rediscovering a place she knows well, a sunrise, regular and restorative alone time, and the people she’s been lucky to collect in her life (including her partner, her family, and the friends who have become chosen family, and also definitely her dog).
