The Rightful Owner of Unclaimed Funds for Fiscal Year 2025-26 Must Submit a Form to Claim the Funds by Feb. 20, 2026  

The Superior Court of Los Angeles County has created a new page on the Court's website with step-by-step instructions for rightful owners of unclaimed funds to claim funds held in trust by the Court.  

Per Government Code 68084.1, escheatment is the process of converting unclaimed property held in trust by the Court to the Court’s Operations Fund.  

The rightful owner of unclaimed funds may refer to this site for instructions on completing a form to claim the funds for fiscal year 2025-26 by Feb. 20, 2026. 

How to Claim the Funds: 

  • Complete the appropriate Claim for Reimbursement Form:  
  • Submit any information relevant to support ownership of the funds, such as a court order or deposit receipt. 
  • Submit the required form by 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 20, 2026.
