LASC Clarifies Courthouse Public Hours

Public Hours Dictate When Doors Open and Close to the Public for Security Screening  

The Superior Court of Los Angeles County clarifies that public hours (when the courthouse building opens and closes to the public) at all courthouses are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for court holidays and excluding the following courthouse locations:

• Stanley Mosk Courthouse, located at 111 N. Hill St., Los Angeles and the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, located at 210 W. Temple St., Los Angeles: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for court holidays.
• Spring Street Courthouse, located at 312 N. Spring St., Los Angeles, operated by the U.S. General Services Administration, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Courthouses conducting night court will remain open with later night court operating hours in accordance with scheduled proceedings.

All Clerk’s Offices, located within courthouses, are open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for court holidays. Self-Help Center hours differ from Clerk’s Office hours and are listed here.
