Summary

This program will be presented by the Inner City Law Center and will introduce key concepts and practical tools for working effectively and respectfully with clients experiencing poverty, trauma, and housing instability.

Key areas will include:

  • How to approach client interactions with cultural humility and an awareness of identity;
  • Techniques for conducting clear, empathetic, and trauma-informed intake interviews;
  • Common barriers faced by low-income clients and how bias can shape the attorney-client relationship.
