Judge Michelle Short will be assigned to Department F50. All matters previously assigned to Department F50 will be assigned to Judge Short for all purposes, unless otherwise notified.

Judge Stephanie Story will be assigned to Department 88. All matters previously assigned to Department 88 will be assigned to Judge Story for all purposes, unless otherwise notified.
Judge Firdaus Dordi will be assigned to Department 24. Department 24 will open as a split General Family Law Home Court/Settlement Courtroom. Judge Dordi will handle all cases that will be randomly assigned and/or reassigned to Department 24 for all purposes.

On Feb. 10, 2025, the Superior Court of Los Angeles County will expand its phased implementation of electronic service (eService) to include appeals documents in Limited and Unlimited Civil cases.

Temporary Pause on Collection Efforts from Jan. 9, 2025, Through March 8, 2025

Effective Feb. 3, 2025, the Family Law Division will implement the following change to courtroom operations at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse located at 111 N. Hill St, Los Angeles.

To meet the Court’s constitutional duty to provide access to justice to Los Angeles County residents, all 36 courthouse locations across Los Angeles County remain open for business and all court proceedings are occurring as scheduled.

Hollywood, Pasadena and Sylmar Juvenile Courthouses to Reopen January 10, 2025.

The Pasadena Courthouse, located at 300 East Walnut Street, Pasadena, will be closed for business for the remainder of Thursday, January 9, due to its proximity to the Eaton Fire and the adverse environmental conditions of the immediate area.

The Hollywood Courthouse, located at 5925 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, will be closed for business on Thursday, Jan. 9, as it is in the Sunset Fire’s mandatory evacuation zone.
