“The San Fernando Valley Bar Association watched in horror as a lawless mob stormed the United States Capitol, terrorizing lawmakers, Capitol Hill staff and their family members. Our hearts go out to those who were injured and died, and to their families.
“We abhor the terror and violence, and the lawlessness of the actions of those involved. We are grateful that the insurrection was unsuccessful. We applaud Congress’ bravery to finish certifying the results of this nation’s presidential election.
“As attorneys who fight for justice, we believe in the rule of law and its fair and equal application to all. We trust that those who violated the law and terrorized this nation will be held accountable.
More than ever, we believe it is vital to pull together as a nation, tell the truth about what’s happening, and stay rooted in the fact that we remain the United States of America.”
