SFVBA Past President Kevin G. Lynch, 85, passed away on October 9. Lynch led the Bar in 1973 and also served as a California State Bar Executive Committee Member. A graduate of Loyola University Southwestern School of Law, Lynch began his 57 year career as a Prosecutor in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
He later joined the law firm of Lewis, Varni and Ghirardelli and was made a partner the firm changed its name to Lewis, Varni, Ghirardelli and Lynch. Interestingly, all four partners had served or would serve as Presidents of the SFVBA. Later, he formed the firm Lynch & Freytag with Marilynn Freytag before establishing the firm of Lynch & Lynch with his son Craig.
A long-time resident of Canyon Country, Lynch also served as a member of the California State Bar Executive Committee and the College of the Canyons Board of Trustees.
