More than 75 attendees were on hand for the recent San Fernando Valley Bar Association-sponsored Candidate’s Forum for those candidates running in the upcoming special June 4 election for a seat on the Los Angeles City Council.
Winner of the election will represent the Valley’s Council District 12, which encompasses a significant portion of the north and central San Fernando Valley.
Extensive media attention was given the May 7 event, which was held at the Association’s offices in Woodland Hills.
The Forum gave the both the public and SFVBA members the opportunity to meet with and question 10 of the 15 candidates on the ballot regarding their stance on various issues of interest to the community at large, assist in evaluating the candidates, and present the candidates with their observations and concerns.
