The SFVBA Board of Trustees has issued the following statement following the tragic news of the recent death of Yi Sun Kim, who served as President of the Association in 2019.
“We are saddened to learn of the passing of our beloved Past-President, Yi Sun Kim. We are absolutely devastated by her passing, and we do not have the ability to touch on everything she meant to us as lawyers, colleagues, and friends. No words feel right, and so we write only with our grief, and to let you know this sorrowful news.
“The Board is committed to providing opportunities to honor Yi Sun in the coming weeks and months. At this time, please keep her loved ones in your thoughts.
“We are advised that the funeral will take place at Rose Hills Mortuary, located at 3888 Workman Mill Road in Whittier, on November 11, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Yi Sun’s family has extended an invitation for all who wish to attend.”
