Woodland Hills, CA, July 16, 2024 – In response to the increasing demand for specialized legal services in immigration law, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association (“SFVBA”) announces the launch of its new Immigration Law Section. This initiative aims to bring enhanced support and resources to legal professionals and individuals navigating the complexities of immigration procedures.
As immigration laws continue to evolve, navigating the legal landscape can be daunting. The new Immigration Law Section of the SFVBA is poised to serve as a hub of knowledge and expertise, offering relevant resources to attorneys handling immigration cases.
“We are excited to introduce our Immigration Law Section, which underscores our commitment to addressing the challenges faced by our diverse community,” said Heather Glick-Atalla, President of the SFVBA. “This initiative reflects our dedication to supporting both our members and the broader community by providing access to specialized resources and fostering collaboration among legal professionals.” The founding Section Executive Committee Co-Chairs are Rebecca Pathak of Pathak & Feldman, a full-service immigration law firm serving Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley areas, and Nabil Atalla of Atalla Law, an immigration law firm in Sherman Oaks.
The Immigration Law Section will offer a range of benefits, including:
- Educational Resources: Seminars, workshops, and webinars on current immigration policies and legal updates.
- Networking Opportunities: Forums for attorneys to connect, share insights, and collaborate on complex immigration cases.
- Leadership Opportunities: Section executive committee, sub-committees, and program planning and development.
Membership in the Immigration Law Section is open to all SFVBA members interested in immigration law, regardless of their expertise or experience in the area. The Section welcomes attorneys seeking to expand their practice areas into immigration law, as well as those already established in the field.
