The Los Angeles County Superior Court has published the latest round of civil courtroom reassignments at the Mosk and Spring Street Courthouses in downtown Los Angeles.
Effective January 2, 2020, the following Judges will return to their assigned courtrooms: Judge Ann I. Jones returns to Dept. 11, Spring Street Courthouse; Judge Rafael A. Ongkeko returns to Dept. 73, Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
Effective January 2, 2020, the following change in judicial assignment will be made at the Spring Street Courthouse: Judge Daniel M. Crowley will assume the inventory of personal injury courtroom Dept. 4A (currently assigned to Judge Christopher K. Lui).
Effective January 13, 2020, the following personal injury courtrooms at the Spring Street Courthouse will move to new courtrooms at Spring Street: Judge Kristin S. Escalante from Dept. 2 to Dept. 29; Judge Jon R. Takasugi from Dept. 3 to Dept. 31; Judge Daniel M. Crowley from Dept 4A to Dept 28; Judge Laura A. Seigle from Dept. 4B to Dept. 27; Judge Stephen I. Goorvitch from Dept. 5 to Dept. 32.
Effective January 20, 2020, the following Civil trial courtrooms at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse will move to the Spring Street Courthouse: Judge Mark A. Borenstein from Dept. 35 to Dept. 2, Spring Street Courthouse; Judge Stephen M. Moloney from Dept. 41 to Dept. 4, Spring Street Courthouse; Judge Holly E. Kendig from Dept. 42 to Dept. 3, Spring Street Courthouse; Judge Frederick C. Shaller from Dept. 46 to Dept. 5, Spring Street Courthouse.
Effective January 20, 2020, Dept. 94, the Limited Jurisdiction Master Calendar courtroom at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, will move to the Spring Street Courthouse and an additional limited jurisdiction courtroom will open at the Spring Street Courthouse, as follows: Judge James E. Blancarte from Dept. 94 to Dept. 25, Spring Street Courthouse; Judge Serena R. Murillo from Dept. 94 to Dept. 26, Spring Street Courthouse.
Effective January 20, 2020, the following settlement courtroom at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse will move to the Spring Street Courthouse: Judge Debre K. Weintraub from Dept. 76 to Room 204, Spring Street Courthouse.
Effective January 20, 2020, the following new independent calendar courtroom will open at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse: Judge Christopher K. Lui in Dept. 76.
