Effective January 31, the LASC Probate Division has reassigned Judge Ruben Garcia to Department 9 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles.
All matters previously assigned to Dept. 9 will be assigned to Judge Garcia for all purposes. All matters currently calendared shall remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set, unless otherwise notified.
Counsel and parties are instructed to identify the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents filed with the clerk, beneath the case number.
The Family Law Division has also announced several changes to its courtroom operations over the past several weeks.
Judge Jeanmarie K. Warren has been reassigned from Dept. 13 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse to the Gov. George Deukmejian Courthouse in Long Beach, replacing Judge Maria PuentePorras, while Judge Patricia A. Young is now assigned to Dept. 13 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. All matters previously assigned to Dept. 13 will be assigned to Judge Young for all purposes.
Commissioner Armando Duron is reassigned from Dept. 6 to Dept. 87 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. All matters previously assigned to Dept. 87 will be assigned to Commissioner Duron for all purposes and Judge Josh Freeman Stinn is assigned to Dept. 6 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. All matters previously assigned to Dept. 6 will be assigned to Judge Stinn for all purposes.
