The SFVBA Nominating Committee seeks members who aspire to lead the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and wish to be considered for nomination as a candidate for its Board of Trustees.
Trustees’ responsibilities include setting policy and overseeing the association’s finances. Trustees also work closely with SFVBA staff to improve and develop programs for the public; expand benefits and services for members; promote the public image of lawyers and the justice system, and are active participants in SFVBA programs and committees. In order to be elected or appointed as a Trustee, a person must have been an Active Member for at least one (1) year prior to serving on the Board of Trustees, except for the Associate Member who may be appointed by the President pursuant to Section 5.7 of the SFVBA Bylaws. An Application for Nomination is available at https://sfvba.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/2021-SFVBA-Election-Nomination-Fillable-Form.pdf
