The Los Angeles Superior Court has ordered select PI cases to a virtual Mandatory Settlement Conference (MSC) for those heard in Departments 27, 28, 29, 31, and 32 at the Spring Street Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles.
Pursuant to California Rule of Court Rule 3.1380:
- MSCs will be held after the Final Status Conference (FSC) and before the trial date.
- MSCs will be scheduled with ResolveLawLA.
- MSCs will be held virtually via www.resolvelawla.com. On the date of the MSC, a judge will be available to assist the parties virtually if needed.
According to the LASC, the virtual MSCs scheduled with ResolveLawLA are now being held with volunteer settlement attorneys/officers from the the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation, and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles.
