Attorney members of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association have the unique opportunity to run for a seat on its Board of Trustees.
The SFVBA Nominating Committee is now accepting applications from members who aspire to lead the SFVBA and wish to be considered for nomination as a candidate for the Board.
Trustees’ responsibilities include setting policy and overseeing the association’s finances.
Members of the Board also work closely with SFVBA staff to improve and develop programs for the public; expand benefits and services for members; promote the public image of lawyers and the justice system, and are active participants in SFVBA programs and committees.
In order to be elected or appointed as a Trustee, a person must have been an Active Member for at least one (1) year prior to serving on the Board of Trustees, except for the Associate Member who may be appointed by the President pursuant to Section 5.7 of the SFVBA Bylaws.
The deadline for applying is noon, June 6, 2002. For an application for nomination, please go to https://sfvba.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/2022-APPLICATION-FOR-NOMINATION-TO-THE-SFVBA-BOT.pdf
